Practical Frameworks For A Voice-Enabled Future

Session scheduled at 9:30-10:20 in Room 2 (Swain)

According to eMarketer, 35.6 million Americans will use a voice-activated assistant device at least once a month—That’s 128.9% YoY growth. A voice-enabled future impacts search, ecommerce, and many other verticals, but most Alexa and Home apps are incredibly unhelpful. In this session, we’ll share how to design for voice and a framework for developing apps that make an impact. We’ll share hands-on techniques with platforms such as Lex, as well as a broader vision for where this space is going.

Takeaways:

  • Broader context for how voice-enabled apps and technologies can be developed with the user in mind.
  • An in-depth look at the latest voice technologies, languages, and frameworks, as well as a look at where the category is going.
  • A hands-on look at how to build apps more effectively and efficiently.
